Planning a trip to Miami? Here’s where you need to go!

Brickell City Centre

After a three day hiatus in Brazil for a few days I finally made the decision to stop somewhere for a few days instead of flying direct across the states back home. It was well worth the stop. I’ve been to Vegas before and Miami is just a more lively fresher and tropical version of sin city. They have everything you could possibly ask for in a vacation and it is well worth the trip. Here’s where you should go during your trip:

Brickell City Centre

Brickell City Centre. Brickell City Centre is a renovated mall with every store and restaurant you could ask for. The architecture was incredible and the food here was great. There was always something to go do or see in downtown and about every store you could ask for. It’s a great place to get a hotel near.

Miami Beach

Miami Beach. Miami Beach is a must go to if you go to Miami. Taking the Poseidon Ferry from downtown is a great way to get there as it takes you past Dodge Island to your destination. Lime scooters are really nice to get around the city also and they are everywhere. The beach is really nice and there are plenty of restaurants to cool off at. The Versace Mansion is also right along Ocean Drive and there is plenty of cool places to eat and drink.

Bayside Marketplace Ferris Wheel

Bayside Marketplace. The bayside marketplace is a marina turned shopping center with bars and restaurants all across. The Hard Rock Café is at the end of the marina and there are plenty of options for drinks and food.

Design District

Design District. The design district has about every luxury store you could ask for and about every fancy sports car parked all over. The Louis Vuitton store there is massive and probably one of the best in the United States. There are plenty of photo op’s and more good places to eat across the design district.

Port of Miami

If you’re into a little adventure but don’t want to go all the way to the Everglades for that go down to Bayside Marketplace and get some tickets for Thriller Miami Speedboat Adventures. You will be able to see all across the Miami waterfront and the waterfront properties at high speeds. It’s well worth it.

The only downside I can see of Miami is try your best to avoid going out at night if possible. As you walk around Miami you can see police at basically every corner. Locals explained the reasoning behind that was last spring break when rival gangs from Chicago met in Miami Beach and decided to make the city their battleground. Of course no city is perfect and I didn’t feel out of place during the day. At night it got a little different but honestly it is better than most places. I would just take Uber and wouldn’t walk across Miami at night.

Miami is a very unique place. The constant nightlife and parties make it a fun place to travel to whether or not you go out at night. You also have the option to fly to Miami international or Fort Lauderdale since they’re both very close to each other. I’d highly recommend it to go escape your normal fall or winter weather and enjoy the sun in Miami.
